Conversion are the UK's largest manufacturer and exporter
of specialist and custom microphone and headset foam accessories
for audio equipment, recording equipment, and noise monitoring
equipment.
In-House Tooling Facilities
Foam Conversion own in-house tooling facilities, that enable
the production of bespoke tooling to suit a wide variety of
product sizes, shapes and 3D surfaces. The in-house tooling
capability allows us to produce tooling to suit our customer's
requirements, whether that be for one-off trials, prototypes,
short runs or full production on a call-off basis. We have
expertise in manufacturing specialist audio foam parts from
miniature windshields/windscreens for headsets and microphones
(on the scale of 10mm) up through to large microphone mufflers
(on the scale of 500mm) used for sound level meters and broadcast
equipment. |
List of Audio Products and Applications
Custom and Bespoke Audio Accessories include the following:
- microphone foam windshields (also called microphone mufflers,
mic muffs, mic balls and mic windshields)
- microphone foam accessories (for example gooseneck microphone
windshields, gun mic shield)
- ear defender foams (also called ear mufflers, or ear cushions)
- environmental monitoring equipment foams (for sound/noise
level meters, wind noise metering and similar applications)
- foam 'pop' shields for microphones (sometimes called a
microphone acoustic foam windscreen)

Circular (Ball) Microphone
Windshields - manufactured to strict dimensional tolerances,
and in a variety of foam materials suitable for broadcast,
audio and hi-fi related applications.

Materials & Colours
We offer a wide range of foam materials suitable for a variety
of audio applications and audio accessories. The vast majority
of audio microphone windshields are manufactured from reticulated
colourfast polyester-based foams. To enhance the presentation
of customer's products we offer the option of coloured audio
foams.
